Credential Services

We are pleased to assist Solano County educators in a variety of credential-related matters including:

  • Applying for a California credential or permit
  • Upgrading a Child Development permit
  • Reviewing transcripts or exams for credential or permit eligibility
  • Using an out of state credential to obtain a California equivalent
  • Adding additional authorizations to existing teaching credentials
  • Checklist for Out of State Special Education Teachers

Clear Administrative Credential Program (CACP) and instructional leadership coaching

Solano County Office of Education (SCOE) offers a Clear Administrative Credential Program (CACP) as part of a Local Program with the Association for California School Administrators (ACSA) and an Instructional Leadership Coaching Program for experienced administrators to develop leadership capacity, independence, and self confidence.

Our Clear Administrative Credential Program is two years and approved by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).  Candidates are provided with an individualized, job-embedded process to clear their credential with one-on-one coaching support from seasoned, successful, Solano County administrators.

Eligibility Requirements for CACP:

  • Possess a Preliminary Administrative Services Credential or Certificate of Eligibility
  • Be employed in a position requiring an Administrative Services Credential

Participants Receive:

  • Mentoring from an experienced administrator
  • Individualized, online, and on-site coaching
  • Phone/e-mail coaching as needed
  • Empowering resources, research, and strategies
  • Goal oriented and data driven feedback
  • Personalized professional development plan

Program Costs:

The Clear Administrative Credential Program fees consist of two components:

  • ACSA Program Fees: $1,000.00/year
  • SCOE Coaching Fees: $3,800.00/year

The Instructional Leadership Coaching Program fees are $3,500.00/year for coaching

SCOE coaching fees may be paid on an annual or quarterly basis.  Payments may be made via card or check.  You may also qualify for an educational loan from a third party lender, please contact us for more details.  Check with your employer to inquire if you qualify for any grant money/financial assistance through your district.
