Solano Student Art Showcase

The SCOE Youth Development Department has collaborated with local community-based organizations to develop a countywide Student Art Showcase. The goal is to recognize youth artists, showcasing their talent in a hybrid setting that would allow for performances and displays, as well as participation virtually through a live stream event and pre-recorded content. There are three components of the Student Art Showcase, the performing arts, art exhibit (including a community art division), and community booths.
The goal of the Showcase is to recognize youth resilience during COVID by supporting all types of youth artists and to promote mental wellness in addition to alcohol, tobacco, and other drug (ATOD) prevention through art. The live event will have performances of spoken word, music, dance, and theater, as well as host a digital display of static art such as painting, drawing, photography and more. During the event, community partners will host booths with information and services ranging from but not limited to mental health, general well-being, drug and alcohol prevention and intervention, and violence prevention.
