Spelling Bee Championships

The 44th Annual Solano County Elementary School Spelling Bee is scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, 2020, beginning at 6:00 PM at McCormack Hall, Solano County Fairgrounds (900 Fairgrounds Drive, Vallejo, CA 94589). The Spelling Bee is open to 4th – 6th grade students enrolled in a public or private school within Solano County.

The County Competition is an oral contest. District staff, school staff, and the contestant’s family are welcome to attend the event.

Each school may send one (1) student to participate. An alternate should also be selected to replace the champion contestant if necessary.

All Spelling Bee participants will receive a certificate and a gold Spelling Bee medallion for their participation. First and second place County winners will be awarded a trophy along with trophies for their schools.

Both first and second place County winners would normally proceed to the California Elementary Spelling Bee Championship at the San Joaquin County Office of Education, however due to the Stay at Home Order this competition has been canceled. San Joaquin COE plans to share a slideshow on their Facebook page @sjcoefb held May 9th.
