Solano County Office of Education

Solano County Office of Education has adopted the Standard Response Protocols (SRP) from the "I Love You Guys" Foundation for emergency response. This system offers a common lexicon and uniform, planned, and practiced response to any incident for safer schools.

SRP offers clear steps for administrators, staff, students and parents to follow in response to any given situation. Like the Incident Command System (ICS), SRP demands a specific vocabulary but also allows for great flexibility. The premise is simple, and the five specific actions below can be performed during an incident to improve response and campus safety.

When communicating these, the "Action" is called, and the "Directive" follows

Hold

"Hold" is followed by the Directive "In Your Room or Area" and is the protocol used when hallways need to kept clear of occupants.
Secure

Secure

Lockdown

Evacuate
