Middle School Spelling Bee
Spelling Bees cultivate a love for language and vocabulary, helping students improve their spelling skills, broaden their vocabularies, understand essential concepts, and strengthen their command of English beyond casual use. Additionally, Spelling Bees promote critical thinking, enhance memory retention, encourage healthy competition, and build students' confidence in public speaking and performing under pressure.
The Solano County Office of Education is excited to expand the Spelling Bee Competition to all public and private school serving seventh and eighth grade students within the county. This will be the first time Solano County will host a Middle School Spelling Bee Competition.
During the county competition, students will be eliminated after misspelling two words. The top two finalists will then advance to the state championship.
