OUR GOAL
OUR GOAL
OUR GOAL
As leaders in our community we advocate for campus safety, mental health and wellness, alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention, and overall student health and wellness.
OUR WORK
OUR WORK
OUR WORK
Since our inception in 2013, we have been actively making positive changes on our campus and in our larger community. We have several committees our members serve on:
- Tobacco Use Prevention Education (TUPE)
- Office of Traffic Safety (OTS)
- Social Media
- Survey and Statistics
- Graphic Design
Work done by the committees allow students to build up or develop new skills. While each committee has their own assignments they all contribute to the club's goals and purpose.
This year we recruited new members during Club Rush, hosted Red Ribbon Week events, developed a presentation on how to create a public service announcement, and represented our school at a statewide conference. We also have several upcoming projects such as our underage drinking and driving prevention project, TUPE projects, and much more. So stay tuned! We don't want you to miss out!

OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY (OTS)
We have been awarded a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the California Friday Night Live Partnership (CFNLP) to develop a positive social norms campaign focused on underage drinking and driving prevention.
Positive social norms campaign uses the healthy behaviors the majority of teenagers are already doing to shift the perception of underage drinking and driving.
Over the years our campaigns have also included a merchant education component, encouraging our local merchants to not sell to minors, the importance of ID checks, and even evaluating the stores advertisements and placement of alcohol both in and outside the store. We create posters, flyers, video and radio public service announcements, and social media posts.
We have worked with Impact Teen Drivers to provide educational presentations to all Freshman Health classes in the fall and spring. These presentations provide vital information to our younger classmates on the dangers of drinking and driving, including personal testimonies from people with first hand experience on the devastating effects of drinking and driving.

Fentanyl Town Hall
During the 2023-24 school year, we held a Town Hall Meeting in the school theater, spotlighting the alarming dangers of Fentanyl and other drugs, and the devastating toll they are taking on the youth in our communities. The event brought together students from various grade levels, along with teachers, for an open and honest conversation about the growing epidemic. Attendees engaged in meaningful discussions, gained critical knowledge about drug prevention, and left better quipped to recognize the signs of substance abuse and its far-reaching effects. It was a powerful opportunity to raise awareness and untie our community in the fight against these life-threatening issues.
