The STEAM Discovery Festival is a one-day celebration of creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning. STEAM, which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math, takes center stage at this annual event. Makers from across the Bay Area gather to showcase their projects, ranging from electronics and woodworking to embroidery and 3D printing. Explore, get inspired, and dive into interactive activities designed for all ages. FREE Admission.
 
Call for Makers

Science, art, education, food, engineering, electronics—there is no limit to the subject matter, this is the place to share it. Show off your projects— finished or unfinished! Teach a workshop, sell your work, or give an inspiring talk. Individuals, young makers, "first-timers," maker spaces and collaboratives, clubs or classes, classroom projects, businesses and startups are all welcome to apply!

The festival is hosted by Benicia Makerspace, a community workshop dedicated to fostering year-round learning and creativity for its members. This free event is brought to our community thanks to our sponsors.

STEAM Discovery Festival April 20, 2024

The STEAM Discovery Festival drew over one thousand participants at the Solano Community College in Fairfield on April 20th! There were multitudes of hands-on STEAM activities from robotics, laser maze, paper rockets to painting, giant bubbles and crochet that people of all ages enjoyed. This collaborative partnership included Benicia Makerspace, Solano County Office of Education and Solano Community College.
