District Tobacco Free Certification
Solano County Office of Education's Youth Development Department is delighted to assist school district and directly funded charter schools in Solano County with the certification process of being tobacco free, in compliance with California Health and Safety Code requirements. California's Department of Education's Tobacco Free School District Certification is important for the continued success and growth of our students. A tobacco free school prohibits all tobacco use anytime, anywhere by anyone on all school property, and at all school sponsored events. The pursuit of this certification indicates our commitment to providing high quality education and service in our community. It gives us great pleasure to play a role in the certification challenge and we intend to consistently uphold these policies throughout our county.
